These days it is very common to see young ladies out there with bulging tummies, not due to pregnancy but as a result of excess neglected fat. It is very unsightly and readily indicates the presence of wrong weight loss habits.
I am always impressed whenever I see any woman with a flat belly especially a young mother. The reason for this is that I know how difficult it could be to retain a flat tummy shape. It actually takes a whole lot of discipline and will. Wonder how you expect to rock that bikini at the beach if you have loose fat hanging down your tummy. Gross, right?
If you want to find out how to prevent belly fat and maintain that flat belly you already have then you need to ensure you do the following;
1. Exercise regularly - Tummy trimming exercises like sit-ups and squats help ensure the slimming of your belly. Aerobics and cardio exercises should be done on a regular basis to maintain a flat attractive belly.
2. Avoid junk foods - it is best you prepare your meals and be sure to include lots of vegetables, fresh fruits, whole grains, nuts and fibre in your diet. Reduce or possibly eliminate intake of sugary beverages and drinks with high calorie content.
3. Drink plenty of water - Make sure that you keep your body well hydrated in order to promote proper body metabolism. Drinking water frequently (at least 2 litres daily) will help make you less prone to eating excessively as hydration makes you fuller.
4. Avoid alcohol - This is a definite "NO-NO" for anyone serious about having a flat belly. If you take alcohol in huge quantities, you would soon be left with a bloated pot-like belly. Alcohol adds to your belly fat.
These little lifestyle changes play a very significant role in your quest to keep off excess belly fat. The quality of your life would definitely improve once you keep fit and slim as you would in turn prevent all the unwanted sicknesses like diabetes, heart complications, excessive fatigue, hypertension and many other ailments that are weight-related.
For those who already have excess belly fat, the tips given above will prove very helpful to you as well.
However, you have to be committed to your weight loss/ flat belly goal and as such you need a steady meal plan so as to enable you make smarter decisions when it comes to the choice of foods you eat.
