Curb Your Food Addiction: Strip the Fat

Here are some simple steps to help you strip the fat, the small changes, which will lead you down the path of health, fitness and a new-found confidence for a new YOU!

DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST
A healthy breakfast fills you with energy and helps fight fatigue throughout your day. Eating breakfast reduces your hunger later in the day, making it easier to avoid overeating. When you skip breakfast, you may feel ravenous later and will be reaching for junk food by mid-morning. Skipping the first meal of the day really slows down your metabolism and reduces your energy levels, resulting in less burning, more storing of calories. So, believe it or not, in order to start the process of weight loss, you need to start your day off with a good breakfast. I know, this suggestion may be hard for those that always skip breakfast and do not think they have to eat. You do not have to eat immediately after rising out of bed, but you need that first meal before stepping out and taking on the day. Does not have to be, and really should not be, a huge meal. A healthy and balanced breakfast of about 300 calories is all you need to get your metabolism in high gear!

DRINK WATER
I can not stress this enough. First of all, it does not cost a lot and it truly is a great appetite suppressant to strip the fat. You may think you are hungry when, in fact, you are really just thirsty. Lack of water will cause you to think you are starving for food and this creates a tendency to pig out. Drinking a large glass of water anytime you really feel hungry and just before a meal or snack will fill the tummy, allow less space for food, and help you to feel full to curb your food addition even more. And less food means fewer calories! Drink between 8-10 glasses of water each day. Also, it not only hydrates you, it has a whooping zero calories!

HAVE A HEALTHY SNACK
Roughly an hour or so before dinner, grab some yogurt, nuts, banana, or just a slice of fruit will do to curb your food addition and strip the fat. Also, think popcorn. Popcorn provides bulk; therefore it helps you feel full. How about olives? Olives are low in calories and satisfies those salty snack cravings. Fresh fruits, around 70 calories per portion, can provide cabs for a quick energy boost. Nutritious snack bars are excellent for curbing your food addition. Snack bars are generally loaded with dietary fiber and vitamins. This simple change can suppress your cravings for food in a healthy way, and enough to enjoy your dinner later.

EAT SLOWLY
By simply putting your fork down between bites, chew your food completely, and not only will you enjoy your meal more, but you will also consume less calories. Eating slowly allows your body to feel fullness. From the time you start eating, it usually takes the brain about twenty minutes to realize, "Hey, I am full!" And that is the goal, right? Energy and satisfaction in smaller portions. This tricks your mind into thinking you are full, not to mention, aiding in food digestion. Get in the practice of eating slowly and you can finish without being stuffed and strip the fat even sooner!
